Welcome to my website, here you’ll find information about me as an actor, writer, director, and as an addictions counsellor granted “accredited practitioner” status by Fdap (the Federation of Drug and Alcohol Practitioners). I returned to college in 2006 to study for a Fd.Sc. degree in Addictions Counselling. I graduated in the summer of 2008. I worked briefly as an addictions counsellor in Rhoserchan, the drug and alcohol treatment centre above Penrhyncoch, near Aberystwyth.  On the 1st of October, 2008 I started in my new post as Chief Executive Officer of the Welsh Council on Alcohol and Other Drugs. I have been awarded the Winston Churchill Memorial Trust Fellowship for 2010 and will visit some of the new recovery community centres in the U.S. which achieve long-term recovery from severe alcohol and/or drug-related problems. A network of such centres is to be found in Vermont, Connecticut, Philadelphia and Virginia. Visiting these centres will provide me with very useful ideas on how to better build a strong “peer culture” into The Living Room Cardiff project, a free, bilingual day-care rehabilitation centre, which will be established in Cardiff by June 2011
